i had an awesome weekend. on friday night i went to one of the local clubs in town to listen to my neighbor play. he is really awesome and plays mostly classic rock and country so i didnt dance b/c i dont know how to do two-step.  saturday night i went to the gladewater rodeo. it was really fun since i dont go to a rodeo much.

my speech class is sooooo boring. i dread getting up 4 days of the week to go to that class. the teacher is sooo old and talks to much about his life stories. work is going well but i wish i had older kids though.

i finally got cingular to send me a new phone!   when i get it u will know its me calling instead of "unknown caller" or "private caller". also my voicemail would be working on it so u can leave me messages again.

good news came today when i needed it most....

1.) my academic advisor e-mailed me and said he approved a certain music course i took while over in europe for 2 weeks, 2 summers ago. instead of having to sit thru a borrowing semester long music apprecation class and paying more for it i was able to just write a 8-10page paper on my europe trip and the performances we had over there and certain places we were able to see while over there. i sooo enjoyed going to europe and sight seeing everything and i would do it in a heart beat especially if i can get more college credit from it.

2.) my church back home has a child care center and i applied for a job there for the summer. i got a phone call from the director saying she has openings in the infant and toddler area and ask if i was still intrested so she could intreview me when i get back into town. i have a good chance of getting this job since one of my references on my application the director knows really well and my reference would brag on me so much and saw im such a good person to work with. also when i used to go to church there every sunday before coming to unt i would volunteer every other month during church service in the 3 year olds room. it would work very well with my schedule since ill be taking a class both summer terms from 9-11 i will have time to go eat and get ready for work since its m-f 12:30-5:30. i will have no weekends or nights at all. Along with no nights and no weekends i will have 25 hrs weekly compared to just 15hrs at most from brookshires.

I really hope i get either that job or the other job(boys and girls club. i really want to work with kids and these two jobs will let me do it. i prefer to get the boys and girls club since i will be working with older children but i hope i get at least one of them. wish me luck

saturday night i went with joel to byx date party. our group which constisted of 8 people including us went to eat at johnny carino's for supper and than we went to downtown ft.worth where we went to a comedy club. the show was really good and i was laughing my head off most of the time during the show like everyone else except this drunk women who would never shut up even when it wasnt the right time to laugh or talk about something. we got to see some man propose to his girlfriend. it was sooo cute and she was so suprised. she seemed like she didnt have any idea he was going to do it until he did it. after the show our group walked around downtown a little bit since they had an arts festival or something like that going on and we decide to get ice cream before heading back to denton. we watched 2 movies and played some video games which i beat joel on one of the games (with a little help from jason) and he beat me on the other game. i finally crashed that night around 4am. i was so tired but i had a really great time.

i have 3 finals in 2 weeks which i have to study for.  also have papers i have to do too. this is going to be stressful for the next 2 1/2 weeks. at least i will have fun mixed in it when we have  our sorority formal in may.
